About The Program
The Granville County Juvenile Community Service and Restitution program offers an accountability model with a focus on community service and monetary restitution, which provides benefits for the victims and the community, as well as for the participants. Youth referred to this program have been ordered to complete a set number of community service hours and/or to pay restitution.

Participants in this program have 6-12 months to complete all of their community service/restitution hours. Referrals can come from juvenile services, Teen Court and law enforcement.

Our program works with local organizations and agencies to provide meaningful community service opportunities for our participants with the goal of them feeling more community connectedness, increased knowledge of community resources and to gain exposure to rewarding work experiences that enhances employable skills.

Some of the organizations and agencies that we partner with include:
  • Area Congregations In Ministry (ACIM)
  • Tar River Land Conservancy
  • Creedmoor Community Center
  • Oxford Parks and Recreation
  • Pettiford Grove Baptist Church

If you know of an agency or organization that has projects or community service opportunities our youth can help with, please reach out to our office at 919-603-1350 or email our Program Coordinator, Tiana Jones at tpjones3@ncsu.edu.
