What is A REstorative Circle?
Restorative Circles are a community-based diversion program designed to provide an alternative response to youth in the juvenile justice system. Youth admit responsibility and are held accountable for their actions by participating in the Circle process. Restorative Circles is a "hands-on" opportunity for youth, parents and community members to participate in justice reform. The circle process addresses the needs of the youth responsible, the victim and the community. Individuals involved in the circle process will develop a Plan of Action that will address the needs and repair harm caused.
